Individuality
I’m all about individuals and individual rights to be individual. But, only so far as it doesn’t harm other individuals and their rights. It’s a fine line to tread.
And if it harm none, do as you will.
It’s a good enough basis for life in my opinion. Yes, there’s so much more to it and the minutae of what constitutes harm can be argued til the cows come home, and it all comes down to personal perspective. Even if I don’t something causes harm, if it harms you then it’s STILL HARM. Bullying is defined by the bullied, not the bully.
"I was only having a laugh!" I don’t care, if it hurts then it hurts. It doesn’t matter what you meant, it hurts and therefore it’s nasty. I can cope with ignorance, but once you find out that your actions hurt someone then you should stop, maybe even consider apologising for the unintended pain you caused.
So, I like to think that everyone has the freedom to think what they want, follow whichever branch of politics they want - but without forcing their doctrine on others, without deriding others for their beliefs.
But you know what gets me? There are huge numbers of people writing their thoughts on this marvelously connecting internet we share and many of them will disagree with me, with you and with each other - all the time. But among them we find people we agree with. So why do some people take time to slander other voices? Why waste your energy doing that? It’s pointless at best and hurts people at worst. Surely there are better things to blog about and better uses for your voice?

It’s strange, I read through your posts, and some thought is always sparked from reading them, but I’ve yet to able to word them. I figure it’s at least something to announce my presence here. I’m likely wrong, though, but. It satisfies me. I’m rambling! >_
